I haven't been in here for a while as work (and other things) has kept me pretty busy. Was absolutely fanging to get out this weekend and I looked at Seabreeze for yesterday during the week - 29 knot westerlies and 6m swell :(( - er....that would be NO!

Me and a couple of mates went out yesterday in the sound and we got a couple of pinkies around the 8 kilo mark. Will try and get a pic on soon, though the Faulkners have seen the pic that I have

We haven't been out either

Bob's had bronchial pneumonia, then the winch died, then the motor needed a service, then club business, Russ and Sandy the list goes on. Should have been in Leeman now but as you can see the weather is cr$#@p no use going to Leeman with a 3 metre swell both ramps will be waist high in weed and the council isn't good at cleaning the ramps, plus the next 6 days are forcasting rain. Plus trying to tow a 1 ton boat in 35knot winds is no fun, watch the fuel guage go done ha ha ha. The beaches also would have heaps of weed, but I still would have liked to go and sight see but old fart moan moan I've got to do all the driving, well I keep telling him your the bloody expert, driving trucks for nearly 35yrs.
Friend around the corner has been going out when the weather was ok a couple of weeks back, got heaps of squid, herring, whiting, KG's and anything else he could catch but didn't go deep.
Come on summer and better weather

I noticed it was quiet in here..

It seems most of us are struggling at the moment. Being confined to land has resulted in some efforts in poor conditions and bad feeding times. Despite the weather I am going exploring today. Who knows? I may get a line in the water somewhere.

Land-based!

Was down from the mines over the weekend, hoping to get the boat out, but weather/kids' footy conspired against it.

Headed down to the rocks this morning at Dawesville Cut...good to see Honsu and his mates down there. We managed to get a smattering of reasonable skippy to 35ish centimetres or so, on lures, so yeah, something anyway!
