Need some clarification

I am currently having a debate with a mate about the daily boat limit for demersals! I thought it was no more than two individual bag limits with two or more licences on board. i.e. 2 dhus and 2 pinkies, 4 pinkies, 2 pinkies and 2 baldies etc. My mate is saying it is 2 per licence on board. So 4 licences means you can take 8 home. There's a six pack on this. Cheers

Dhu's
Pretty sure its 1 Dhu per license with a boat limit of 2.
Other demersals are as per individual bag limits.

Better buy that 6 pack
Better buy that 6 pack Jadeo.
He is right except there is a boat limit of 2 dhu's.
Everything else demersal is bag limit per RFBL
Why not just get the brochure instead of relying on someone elses interpretation, as it will only lead you into strife...

+1 for Rob
The rules are clear for Demersals. Only boat limit is for Dhu's

Bag limits
you just lost a six pack ! It's 2 per person with a max of 2 dhuies per boat. Ie 10 people 20 fish but only 2 dhuies in amongst that.
My spots are so secret even the fish don't know about them !

Yep
What the 3 gentlemen above said is correct.
And if your mate reckons its 2 Dhu per license, then he's only partially correct on the whole debate. So, buy a 6 pack and give him only 3 bottles. You drink the other 3 bottles. Lol

Cheers lads. On the bright side I was never going to exceed the bag limits. Have read the booklet a few times and have interpreted it wrong. Had it in my head it was 2 individual bag limits for a boat no mater how many licences were on board. Will have to find something else to debate while having the beers! Haha

Great app
Thanks for the info. Didn't know about the recfish app until you mentioned it. What a handy app! Fish ID, legal size and limits, best rigs to use etc.
Great for newbie fisho like me!

I believe they are unnecessarily complex
People who don't fish a lot have problems with it. Hell, I've had problems with it at times if you are talking about mixing up classes. If they wanted to build a totally useful app, it would have a section for " can I keep 2 of fish x and 1 of fish Y? " Otherwise, just take the pamphlet with you.

Have to agree
I've been following the rule guide for ever, and it just gets worse to understand every time they try to simplify it.
All these years fishing and I still make sure I have the current guide with me to make sure.
Like you said, people who don't fish that much really struggle to comprehend the rules, and I find errors or contradictions in it all the time.
A lot of my friends call me often about going fishing and the rules, I always suggest to take a Lawyer with them just encase . lol

Even if you have the current
Even if you have the current guide with you it can be replaced without you knowing, or "reinterpreted" as per Bret Carter

Very true
You must know rules better than them. If unsure always ask someone or phone fisheries direct . Don't speak to office person ,request someone who works on the field ( officer) otherwise you may get wrong info . Brett carter was classic case. Head office , freo ,mandurah all said 5 minute rule prior to the case going public ?? Figure that one out .
