New Boat, Chivers Hammerhead SF Hardtop
Picked up a new boat just in time for July School holidays Coral Bay trip, and would like to share our experience with what is probably a once in a lifetime purchase.
We were looking for a fishing/diving/family boat, 6 metre plus with deep vee hull, not too heavy to tow up North without requiring a Landcruiser, capable to get to Abrolhos in good weather, keen on a hardtop, and heaps of deck space. Self draining decks was also on the check list.
Looked at a number of boats, found Chivers a great team to work with, even allowing us to visit there workshops during the build.
Very happy with ride of deep vee hull, and the additional options to the standard BMT package Peter from Chivers was more than willing to discuss and include.
We also discovered the benefit of working with a boat builder rather than a vendor, as Chivers personnel were able to suggest minor modifications during the workshop visits that suited our individual requirements that we would have never thought of.
It is fortunate we still have local WA companies providing quality made local boats.
Would like the thank again Chivers Marine for looking after us.

they are a nice boat
We have the same, just a soft top.
The Chivers guys are great, any issues with anything and they will fix it pretty quick, they really do go the extra mile to ensure their customers are happy.
But yep, the boat is a great ride and has planty of space for all the toys!

Great looking boat!
Was only checkng out the Hammerhead in the Chivers yard on Saturday, it certainly ticks the boxes for all rounder capability including the Abrolhos.
On another note I recently had to take my boat for work that could only be carried out by an authorised Evinrude agent, Chivers looked after me and I am most impressed by the service and help shown by Luke and Mark.
I think you made a wise choice buying a great locally built boat from a very customer focussed operation.
