New demersal jigging reel

Just wanted some opinions I'm looking for a new Demersal jigging spinning reel and either thinking 5000SW shimano biomaster or 6000sw saragosa I have liked my shimanos and want to stick with them I already have a stella 8000 and 10000 SW and don't need another one at this point.

thinking of running PE 3-4 and want to use it in around 50m of water

thoughts?

Considering my 4000 sustain

Considering my 4000 sustain on my jigger is my number 1 most used combo out to 100 meters , I wish I had spent the money on a 5000 stella for that rod and gone cheaper on much less used combo's.

If I spent half as long fishing , as I do reading this bloody forum , I'd be twice the fisherman I am.

Down Size a Stella

Do you even use the 8000 & 10000?  Def don't need a big reel if you only want it for jigging up to 50m.  A 2500 or 3000 size is perfect. Wait for the new Stella's or go a model down with similar specs.  I use a C3000 Twinpowert for all of my demersal jigging up to 80m.  Running PE 3 on a PE 2-4 NS Magic Eye.  Such a nice light combo with the stopping power..

More fun that way too!

I do need to sell done of my unused combos that's for sure! And should put it towards a Stella 5000/6000.

i use the 8000 and 1000 for heavier jigging and live baiting.

a stella with a magic eye would be perfect for each other

You want to make sure you get

You want to make sure you get one of the PG stellas.

At least in the 08 Aus delivered (i.e non black stellas) the 5000 was a high speed reel and wouldnt be my pick for jigging. I'd go for a 4000PG.

You could also look at the new 2014 Stella 4000 that's coming out this month in Japan and in May in Aus I think. I've got one on order for light jigging.

When asked by a non-fisherman 'how many fishing rods do you really need?' the correct answer is either:

n+1 (where n is the number of fishing rods you currently own); or

n-1 (where n is the number of fishing rods which would cause your significant other to dump you.
