New Isuzu Dmax
Submitted by Goodz on Thu, 2012-08-02 19:24
So I was asking advice on a new work ute a while back and just thought I'd share that I ended up with one of the new model Isuzu Dmax single cabs. Only had it a few days but it's already impressed me a lot! Good power towing a heavy trailer while having weight on the tray which is the main thing I was after as well as just being much more of a pleasure to drive than the old hilux! I went for the auto too while is nice. Anyone in the market for a new ride, give these a look, one of the cheapest utes in that class but certainly not the worst.

3ltr turbo, 3 tonne towing Sea-kem.
That was at Tech 9 in Oconner this arvo Ron, got the new wheels on it as they got delayed and I had to put up with the stocko standards for a few days... the new wheels certainly make it look a little cooler :) Would go great on a trip to Jurien... maybe next time! haha

Tweaked the old engine apparently for a bit more power. I'm happy with it anyway :)

Colorado
Hi Bodie, the new Colorado is suppose to have 3.5t towing capacity, maybe worth a look. Not sure if the tray will be big enough for all the gear you drag on a trip , haha.
cheers & stay safe.

When I was looking at utes I was told that the '3.5' tonne towing for a Colorado was only good if you had no fuel or people onboard as any of those things would put you over the legal total.. Dunno the truth in that but still I'd love to see a Colorado pull a 3.5 tonne boat safely, surely it would struggle.
