quick question (wet weather gear)
Submitted by mucsavage on Thu, 2012-08-02 16:14
Well all,
Just wondering where is the best place to buy wellington (wellies) bootsn (long rubber boots) and wet weather gear, such as Oil skin trousers, hooded jacket, something is going to be durable and going to last the wear and tear of working on a farm, but something with a decent price range, not wanting to break the bank.
Any suggestions be a great help.
Cheers.

ACM
For good quality wet weather gear try ACM [Aust Commercial Marine] on the corner of Capo D Orlando drive in Freo fishing boat harbour.

Have you checked with the Farmer mate?
He should be in the know and perhaps get it for you if he/she gives a shit. If you have the cash to pay him/her I can't see why they wouldn't get you fitted out. It's different farming to fishing. The advantage is that the farmer can claim on tax............. or do they really give a shit?? LOL

The farmer has got gear down
The farmer has got gear down there mate, but if im to spend 13 hours a day in gear, i would rather have my own stuff. rather than obsorbing multiple other peoles sweat and guts for my period there.
The farmer that I am going down to has got a great attitude and has been more than helpful so far, and all reports from people who previously worked there havve had nothing but good things to say about the place. So its an experience Im looking forward to getting into.
Plus the land the farm is on runs along side the blackwood and is available for me to fish on my days off. and Have got alot of decent info from other guys on here relating to fishing the coast aswell. So fingers crossed wont be catching my usaual catch of blowies.. haha
Bring it on..!! :)

Looks like the east side John
I have been checking out Warner Glen and I am really really jealous that this Irish prick gets to live there for a while when I should be fishing it LOL. I hope his missus doesn't steal the car too often or he can borrow a quad from the boss. My pick is that they will party hard and Irish will fish with a hangover like the POMS do... fold out seat, an unbrella and a book or a bottle. Good luck to him and his missus.. I wish I was young and free again LOL.

Yea the area seems to be fantastic and amazing looking. There will be no partying for me vince ( as I am about the only Irish man you will evr talk to that dont drink) but i will only party if I catch a Dhu fish off the rocks..lol Or pull in a couple meter shark for my first time shark fishing..haha
My missus should not take the car too often, (not if I hide the keys on her) LOL.. But I do like your idea of teh quad fishing, I wont be seen for days.. I will be gone AWOL.. :)
Thanks for the best wishes mate. I wont be too far, Il be sure to post a few update from time to time, If i mange to get into a good run. :)

East side
If you can get hold of a quad and trailer, the south coast east of Augusta has many lovely spots that haven't been touched and if you can get access through some of the coastal properties you will have a ball.
We used to get in to Emu Springs / White Point areas untill some prick went and shot up the owners cattle and they shut the gate. Huge silver bream, tailor, mulloway sharks etc all during the day, didn't need to night fish because the esky would already be full and there was piss to drink to make for more room.
