You'd want a limp braid for
You'd want a limp braid for a conventional reel as mentioned.
What line class are you using and what are you using the reel for?
Cheapest probably matrix pro. Though, I'd rather get 150m of TD sensor for the same price, and use more mono backing.
Or you can have some platipus superbraid(?) 8lb for free when I replace it.

fins prt is not bad for the
fins prt is not bad for the money, also harros bionic braid or Platypus superbraid was always rated well and lasts for ages.

because you go really light like 15gms with lures and chromies etc
4lb might be the go
casting with 6lb line and 15gm lures wasnt the best
do-able but not the best
JMO from when we went for a fish on sunday
but then im thinking will u get busted up too much on 4lb....
ill leave this one to someone more knowledgable than I

If its a true round braid it
If its a true round braid it should go fine up to 8lb.. 15g is easy if its a smooth round braid, just loosen your free spool and chuck hard. I hate casting baitcasters, on a thready i cast 15g on 15lb braid 30 meters but i cant do 10lb braid with a 30g lure past 30m with a baitcast :(

8lb should be alright to
8lb should be alright to cast. You can move onto a 8 carrier 4lb later as you get the hang of it (and the money :p) You're probably using too much thumb or got your brake on too much :p
Most pro distance casters use overheads (just needs good thumb control)
