New Lunds squid

 I see there is new Lunds squid available 

I've heard it's from China packed in California?

does anyone have any information on this squid

That Illex squid is caught and packaged in China by the Lunds company. Lunds USA have been cathing the Loligo squid (blue box stuff) of late but only a small amount which is getting snapped up by the food companys paying the higher price.

I like it, is thicker & more robust than the old packs, but that's just my opinion

 I've used them twice now 1st time fish weren't interested in it.

second time  it did well  caught a quiet a few fish on it,

I think I still prefer the older stuff  but like other guys said it seems more robust and stays on the hook longer

 Had to start using them because we can not get hold of the blue box stuff.

 

Its fine, still catches just as well as the blue box stuff. Squid are on average a little bigger and are a bit full of muck so you get a little less actual squid per kg but not too bad.
