Mon, 2009-03-30 21:33

I bought home a 5grand guitar a few months back with out telling the missus, doesnt help we're saving for a wedding

all I did was go fishing, she'll get over it... end of the day if she really loves you she will love you having a good time!! and give her the same respect when she rolls up home with a 400 dollar watch or something

EASY!! btw nice rod

A 400$ rod might help you

Tue, 2009-03-31 19:14

A 400$ rod might help you catch the better fish, but a 400$ watch wont help you tell the time any better will it ;)

Mon, 2009-03-30 22:35

i had the same dilemma when I bought a new rod and reel when I really didn't have the money to spare.

What I said was that someone on the forums (thanks fishwrecked :) ) had won the combo and didn't need it and was willing to let me trial and buy it for a cheap price!

now she thinks fishwrecked people are really really nice and that I got a good deal! :) win-win! (except now i'm poor....)

maybe try something similar to that next time

G'day Otoshi, I don't know

Tue, 2009-03-31 14:37

G'day Otoshi, I don't know if there are any fakes around but there are variations in the Heartland from the standard Heartland going for about $120 Au to the Heartland Z which can be up to $600 Au so check the model (esp a custom one).
Cheers, Daisy

I show my missus everything.  She gets really pissed at me so I go fishing to get away from her.  By the time I get home she has either forgiven me or is even angrier.  If she is angrier I leave the boat loaded and go fishing again the next day.  Usually she gets over it after the second day.  I cant really go wrong.
