Chicken is good , so is mullet. Some people swear by herring and tailor carcasses after you have filletted them of course.Wink
Just a quick pointer.... try to remember to take your CAPS off your posts in future, as that is classed as SHOUTING! in internet forum etiquette. No biggie, just a heads up on that before someone has a crack.Cool
Mate of mine was down there a couple of days ago and got a good feed, but the crabs are still a bit empty at this time of year.

Cheers

hey naps, welcome to the site.
For crab bait, chicken heads and necks are good.

chicken farms, some poultry butchers, try maybe that local chicken butcher "Lenards" or something. Carcases that have strong smells are good. Remember to place nets upstream in flowing water, so currents carry the scent further. Crabs hunt with smell so if theres a little flow, scent spreads and more crabs can track it to your nets. Hope that helps man.

my mate used lamb necks last week with me in bunno last long enough and you place the wire through the hole in the bone to stop the crabs stealing them
