Hello fisher folk, Just wanted to drop a quick line to say hello as a new member to the site and to say that I think this is a fantastic forum with some really worthwhile information for anyone who loves fishing. Keep up the great work and may the fish keep on biting.

Sorrento Groynes
Thanks for the kind welcome. I wonder if anyone had any advice on the Sorrento Groynes. Are they worth a visit. They look like they might be ok for tailor. Is the beach to the south of the groynes worthwhile for a bit of night fishing. My daughter is pretty keen to wet a line and to try out some beach fishing.

welcome to the site Colin hope u enjoy mate...
regarding the sorrento groynes...there are the usual bread n butter species there (herring n gardies)
i would reckon u would have more luck for tailor off the hillarys north rock wall (near the disabled ramp) bait cast half a mulie or bluebait and i reckon u'll pick up tailor, herring, skippy etc etc...
cheers

RE: Hi from Newby
I wouldn't mind some of his money. I tried my luck at his game, but could only attract ugly groupies. No, I am just an old fashioned rock fisherman from Sydney's northern beaches who has made a home here in WA for the last 25 years.
