Adam,
I spoke with DPI(Maritime)last Dec and here is the scoop:
1.Tantabiddihas been deferred to late 2007 or possibly early 2008,
2. Bundegi (apparently the Shires responsibility) is being co-funded and project managed by DPI and is likley to be undertaken early thie year in the first quarter.
Hopefully bundegi is complete for the larger boats that cant launch at tantas over Gamex as motoring home for 2 hrsfrom the west side can be painful everyday!
found this on the net in minutes from Exmouth Shire meeting.
The President asked:
Could the Manager of Engineering Services please provide an overview on the status of the Boat Ramps?
The Manager of Engineering Services responded:
The Department of Planning and Infrastructure is currently assisting in the preparation of a tender document for the construction of the Bundegi Boat Ramp. The boat ramp is being specifically designed to withstand the extensive marine and coastal processes that take place in this area. This tender should be released in February 2007. At this stage all of the necessary approvals required for construction, bar one, have been obtained. It is expected that construction will commence in April / May 2007. The total cost of the Bundegi Boat Ramp will be approximately $1.5million.
Work has commenced on the design of the Tantabiddi Boat Ramp, although funding for this project has yet to be secured..

Looks like it won't be in use for Gamex 2007
