A Noble maiden fishing Voyage
Dropped the new Noble in the water last weekend after towing her across the Desert and Top End back to Kununurra from QLD.
After checking all the systems were go, off we went.
The destination was the Lyne River as Nick had not been there before and I wanted to have a look after the big wet we have had, and after being boatless for a few months I wonted the stretch the 'legs'.
The neat tides promised clear green water and the winds were going to play the game so the weather report said.......
We left Wyndham after catching up with Craig and his deckie who were going to follow us for half the journey before they headed for the False Mouths.
The ride across the Wyndham gulf was a little bumpy but the new boat is amazingly dry.
Not so for Craig's boat, and here is Craig drying out
From there we split to cover the next 30km by ourselves.
We hit the Lyne with no other boats in sight.
No birds or fish working so we went upstream some, to a little creek and we scored some queenies. After some fun we decided to hit some wood that held good Barra from my last trip back in December.
Deploy the new Kota i-pilot and troll over the wood.
First pass and up comes this little bugger
Suffice to say, the next two passes and two more Barra aboard.
While I scored the Barra, Nick scored some Fingermark and Javelin fish.
We raised a few more fish in the creeks but after the tide turned it all went quite, but that gave us plenty of time for the 80km run home.
Must say the hull rides like glass and the Kota is worth it's weight in gold...... and fish in the esky first trip
Plenty of fish left for you POC

tank size
150l fuel tank. Reckon once she's run in I should get 2km to the litre easy so a range of 300km. That day we did 160km
I always carry spare fuel if we go further or stay a few days. ,
dont forget the Kota cuts down the fuel once you get there.
also use the tides, but the neaps dont push much compared to the springs
