NW Blowies. Only thing worse is a Hoard of NW Blowies!

Best watched in 720p

Some footage my mate took with his GoPro3 of a Hoard of Blowies that harassed us at one of our fishing spots. No bait was even being used at this spot, only metals and plastics, and they were ravenous for anything. Even had a crack at a Petrel sitting on the water a few meters away from the boat!

Other than one hooked and released no Blowies were harmed. Just moved to a different a spot. But that didn't entirely work either. Out of about 15 spots we visited the NW Blowies were in on about 10 of them. But we persisted and did manage a feed of Dhuis anyway. Still was quite amazing to see so many in the one area.

Yeah Beau, recent trip. Back up in the Dongara to Horrocks region again. This time with six mates, five 4wd's and a tinnie again to do some boat fishing as well as some Landbased Fishing. Will post a report up of the trip soon. Just collating pics from all the lads.

Plenty of Tailor some bigguns again, but no Tuna this year. Few Dhuis too ;)

Similar thing happened to us

Similar thing happened to us in kalbarri, we thought we had found a good lump, me and dad dropped down and bang double hook up. Turns out that the 'lump' was a school of n/w blowies because they came to he surface with all their mates

We found a spot on the way

Thu, 2013-05-30 05:49

We found a spot on the way back from the Abrolhos at Christmas. Sounder came up stacked for about 30m off the bottom. I thought we had come across a school of Sambos.
Turned out to be these mongrel animals.
I still have the mark if someone wants it.

Had then bite the legs off crays that were hanging out of a catch bag on my weight belt. Pretty unnerving.
