??? NW Blowies still around
Submitted by sunshine on Sat, 2012-07-28 09:37
Had a great solo session in 44 metres yesterday bagging out very early however I changed tactics seeking to catch either a whiskery or gummy only to loose a number if rigs to clean bite offs ............has any seen any NW Blowies of recent times or any ideas on what could snip rigs whilst barely vibrating the rod

Sure are still around. Bitten off multiple times while chasing snapper in the sound a few weeks back.

just wondering
has anyone got any in the swan river before or seen them there? or why arent they there?
i fear the day i see or catch one in the swan. im already scared of going in the ocean cos of sharks, dont wanna get scared of taking my kiddies to swim in the swan incase they get bitten by one of these things.
btw does anyone notice that when the nw blowies are around they also bite the friggin sinkers off too. i hate that cos its starting to cost me a packet for those snapper leads.

Bloody things aren't shy of
Bloody things aren't shy of jigs either.
If I spent half as long fishing , as I do reading this bloody forum , I'd be twice the fisherman I am.
