I have it recorded and haven't watched it yet. But one thing that sturred me up a bit was a quote on the ad that "it was a record breaking fish that shocked the fishing world" or something.
Yes i know 600lb is a big fish, but after a quick google search the NZ record is over 700lb, just annoys me the amount of crap they talk on that show.

but at least he's out there giving it his best, if it wasnt for ifish there would be no fishing shows on worth watching it beats fwa and the presenters on that show they are either boring as bat shit or just dickheads

What I dont understand is why do ppl have the urge to complain about anything!
And about him giving stupid comments while they land the fish, I wane see one fisho who catches the fish of a lifetime who doesnt give a stupid comment during the landing process. With all that excitement, and the fear of loosing the fish, goin on u just dont think and just talk ,and sometimes that is shit.
I remember as my brother came over earlier this year from Germany we went out and I got him on his first Spanish Mack ever, you should have heard his comments while we tried to land the fish, he was just giving commands left, right and centre and he never even fished from a boat like mine before or gaffed a fish. And I would have liked to see one of you guys react when this massive head came through the hatch! I would have lost it, I can tell you that!
We do have the right of free speech and that is good but please do it in a manner that is not just shit stirring and offending. And each of us like different things and that is good! Otherwise we all would fish the same spot from the same boat with the same engine and watch the same shit!

and robson green.....but then I dont count it as a fishing show just a bit of light entertainment
with a bit of fishing thrown in, I think the fact that he's just an ordinary bloke at heart who loves fishing

how about not judging the poor guy untill you meet him? Im sure there are things you guys have done in your field of work who makes people think you are a flogger to. Paul has done soo much more for the fishing industry than most and whilst he may not be the funniest of characters etc you have to remember he still has a job to do and i think he does it well

Go in to the fine detail and you will find that his job is to sell fishing gear through his endorsements on the show, hence the fishing guides, charter boats, tackle stores and the gear he uses.
As someone said, its a 20 minute advert with a touch of fishing chucked in.

Amazing how many people watch a show that they cant stand and cant stand the presenter either, strange.
We dont all get to go to the places that he fishes, all be it he has a lot of help with the running of the show I would expect, but we , or some of us enjoy and envy what he does.

Personally I like all fishing shows - much better than having to watch home and away or betta homes n gardens with the missus and daughter. :-)

Missus records Coranation St and East Enders also!!! Sunday she let's me watch a few hours of fishing stuff and that includes Ifish. In fact, I am wearing an Ifish hat as I type LOL. Paul is an OK kind of guy and he does do a good job. One thing that pisses me off is the amount of time he keeps the fish out of the water and carries on. It is however informative and interesting. I watched a show of his last week where he was catching Salmon and it was so silly how he was talking and trying to pick up the Salmon with the rod still in one hand. Whatever happened to his helpers?????
As for Robson Green, leave him alone! He is my hero LOL. I love that show.
