Oceanside Tackle and Marine owner Ryan Thipthorp has been at the fore front of Super Deep fishing for many years now. Ryan's dedicated thousands of hours and many many trips to fully suss out targeting super deep species with excellent results.

When it comes to reading and understanding a sounder, Ryan is known as one of the best around. Targeting super deep species on jig isn't easy but Ryan has perfected it with good results. All us staff here at Oceanside have our own boats and get into these super deep fish on jig & baits. Ryan has taught us plenty to make us full bottle on super deep fishing, one of the perks of working at Oceanside.

There has been a big increase in this form of fishing ie 200-500m and there's plenty of anglers out there wanting to know more about sounders and super deep info. Ryan has been asked to do these talks for many years now but  due to his filming/traveling schedule it hasn't been easy but it did happen recently.

Rhyss from Taylor Marine/Furuno organised a talk night at Cockburn Power Boat Club last night with Ryan,Reese (staff member) and myself Marc (staff member) attending.  On the night Ian McNeill from Taylor Marine/Furuno was there also to talk about Furuno sounders followed by Ryan giving an in depth talk about targeting super deep species which included sounder set up, target depths, explanation of super deep sounder pics and a comprehensive Q&A.

Reese and myself went through in detail also about electrics reels/rods/braid/rigs/jigs/techniques and much much more. The night was capped at 120 people, we could of double that amount with the huge response which was good to see. So for that reason we're having a second night and details will be posted on here so stay tuned for that.
