Adam and I were out at the containers on Wednsday and didnt pick up any schools on the sounder. Not saying there not there but we didnt see any where we were. Bouttime picked up a huge school of them on the Gemini Wreck last week and got into them on jigs.
Heard from someone today that one of the southern barges are full with fish! 105m of water from memory if that gives anyone a good idea. He sai d he fished it the other day and got one every drop but gave up after 4 or 5 fish as he was knackered!
Wooo hoo bring it on! Wont be long till the northern barges are firing, if there not already
Let's hope your report is on the money Shizz. Got some shiny new bling just gagging to get stretched and seven weeks of upcoming summer holidays in which to do it.
If the conditions are good we are going to head out tomorrow to find some samboooooooes and maybe some tuna and whatever else is biting, you hear that MR WEATHERMAN, give me some love!!!
If the conditions are good, prob pgfc, hillaries is too far north and yammie might be a bit far as well. Will see if we cant bump into a few tuna first, coupla sambos and go from there. Tomorrow will be a true case of Mr Adaptable, got the jig stick loaded, the small spin eggy for the fads, heavy trolling gear loaded and bottom bogging rod/reel ready. Just gotta do up some riggies and I'm ready for action, bring it on!
So who else is having a sicky tommoro. Hopfully should be a good day out. Adam should have the vid cam and Ive got the photos under control so see what happens.
No sickie tomorrow, just a normal holiday day. Weather look's good for fishing out wide but I've got a prior commitment with my kids to chase some early season Mandurah manna's.
Good luck Big John, hope there around in numbers. Really looking foward to going down and getting a feed this summer. If the weather stays as predicted then it should be fun!
they ARE EVERYWHERE was just a big long chain of ppl hooking up and going back to the start to do it all again!!
will be heading back out there once my arm recovers!!!
oh and if you decide why not spent the nite at rotto stay at the kingstown barracks it is like backpacker central!!! we had some hottie greman and swiss chicks next door to us!

Also heard a similar thing off the north side of rotto, big schools in about 30-40m of water but none in the deeper more predictable spots yet.
