Old farts club

I've noticed references to "old farts club" or just "old fart" on many posts on these forums. What qualifies one as an old fart? Age? If so how old is an old fart? Or length of time as a member? Or years of fishing experience?
I suspect I qualify under the first category, but definitely not the last two!

they cant argue
simple , anyone older than you!
thats always been my way to look at it , and they dont have a leg to stand on.
some people do seem like old farts way before their time tho
never grow up , never grow old, certainly helps me.
what makes me laugh is add,s on tv for : retirement villages: for people 45 and older, like what the hell
Im 45 , they will be lucky to drag me in kicking and screaming when Im 85!
met a guy years ago , pulling in a salmon on warren beach , down south
no shoes , tanned skin, driven down a rough track with his son, for a morning fish, 86 years old , thanks very much
legend and definitivly A OLD FART.

Yup - my father is 92 years young
And still works two days a week - he reckons he aint going till he has that letter !
He is in one of those retirement places but only went there perhaps five years ago - he asked where he could park his car and was told anywhere mate as you are the only one here still with a licence but he was warned not to let it be generally known or he would become the village's taxi for all the old biddies

It's something from the past here
I have been a active part of the "old fart's club" here for some time. A while ago we had the "Colin Club" as well. The old farts are a bunch of guys of similar age group who are quite friendly with each other. It's a term of endearment really and a way of us having a shot at each other. I think you will find those members who have been classified as the old farts have been long time members of this site and very good contributors both in the forums and in real life.
The classification however is not one created by site admin. It's just a term we use.

As Vince said
Its just a bit of fun between mates who have been on here for a long time.
With Sherbs being the oldest member on the entire forum and possibly the whole world from what I am led to believe.
Cheers

GROWING OLD IS INEVITABLE. GROWING UP IS OPTIONAL!!!!!
YA ONLY AS OLD AS THE AGE OF WHAT'S IN YA HAND!!!!!
Old fishermen never die they just smell that way.
