I know this might
sound a bit sour. But it really annoys me when booking holidays, and you see the difference in off peak and peak prices. I know its only $200 but families can only go away in the school holidays and too me thats the best time to be a bit cheaper for your holiday home, even caravan parks, motels etc would be full all school holidays. The house is beautiful and I commend you on your attention to detail. But thats my gripe, please no intention to offend you both. Just find it annoying when you book in peak times even going to Bali or other tourist destinations within Australia. We are retired so can go off peak, save quite a few dollars but families that have to travel in peak times can't save on accomadation or fuel for that matter, JMIO.

Fair comment too and no offence taken. However, on the flip side of that - $1700 is our normal rate. We drop the rates during less busy times to attract guests so that we still have a turnover and can pay the mortgage, utilities, insurances etc and maintain the property to a high holiday standard.
If you think about it, for $1700/week (or $242/night) you are getting a fully self contained house , loads of space, privacy, fish cleaning station, boat washdown area... everything you need (and in an amazing location!). We often get 2 families wanting to share or a few blokes on a fishing trip who share the cost making it a pretty cheap holiday in all.

It all looks very nice...But
It's not the cost that bothers me but the fact none of the houses up there are geared to groups of fishermen it may sleep 9 but if you get 8 or 9 blokes they dont want to be sharing a queen bed (with even their best mate) so you end up with 5 0r 6 blokes all in one room...not great by anyones standards even big houses have 2 or 3 queens then heaps of bunks crammed into one room.like I said very nice for a couple of family's but not fishing groups.
