Outboard Decals

   G'day legends.

Ii been doing up a 5m Quintrex I bought a few years ago.

Got my hands on a 75hp 2003 model oil injected Mariner but the cowling has no decals on it. Dealers have quoted me over $400 plus $150 to have then put on.

Anyone know where I can get them cheaper and I will put them on.

Cheers

My 3rd Mariner. Never had an issue with them.

I got 2 boats. Brother had a Yamaha shit the tin after 68hrs.

Boss had a Johnson go after 130hrs as well.

Only paid $1000 for the boat and $4000 for the motor.

Runs pretty good

Yeah I was kidding bud. Pretty sure any graphics/signwriter co. will give you you want (or more elaborate custom designs) for a better price than what you were quoted.

I had one of those, it was a great little donk. Sold it to a mate of mine and she's still going strong, must be pushing 25 years old.

When I first bought my dinghy in 1994, it had a 1983 25hp mariner on it. Was an old tiller drive converted to dual lever forward control. I changed it out to a Johnson in 2000. Now got a 30hp mercury that I bought new in 2014

Oh dear.

If you're going to bag a Mariner you'd better add Mercury and Yamaha to the same list......

Example.

90 hp four stoke Mariner / Mercury was actually a Yamaha produced block assembled by Mercury and sold as their own. I've owned engines with all three of the above mentioned badges on em and they've all been outstanding motors. Out of intrest what motor are you running ?. I'm thinking a Parsun perhaps?.

No fishing of late. The Straits have had some pretty decent rain of late, this has left the ocean looking like a bathtub full of choc milk filled with whatever debris you want in it from PNG. One of the Doctors found a 7m dugout canoe last week ( perfect candidate for a massive Mariner me thinks.. :) Things should start to settle down soon and we hope to get back out on the water.

Parsun

Sun, 2022-01-09 10:03

I had twin Parsun 6hp on a 14ft Hobie kayak once - it was a rig the blokes at BCF recommend for trolling for mackies off Woodies.

Solid performers before it sank.
