Boat or land based?

Tue, 2013-05-14 21:20

Mate, weather is looking good but not sure it's worth it if you are boat fishing. No point risking it if the days are looking good. Also a little bit of rain coming.

Landbased I'm not to familiar with.

good luck. Your missus is keen!

 I would cross Kwinana Jetty

I would cross Kwinana Jetty off,as it has not been repaired yet from the storms last year.

Rockingham is my "backyard"- so I can tell you that there are two jetty's in Rockingham which are good for allnighters.

Both have good lighting all night-Palm Beach jetty is good for safe parking, and there is a clean toilet close within walking distance.

Bring a few crab drop nets as well,as you will most likely get a feed during the night, and give you something else to do.

Good luck with it,I might even come for a walk, and say hello.

 Head up to Yanchep mate.

Head up to Yanchep mate. Club Capricorn is usually good for a few tailor & a few bigger things show up late at night at times. There's also plenty of whiting to be had just like most other beaches. The northern end of Yanchep Lagoon can produce some great fishing at times & is close by so also worth a try.

Yes ,there are squid, but can be a bit on or off.

Some one hooked up to something big last night, couldn't bring it up though.

They tried to walk it down to the lower level, nearly got there, but the fish swam around a pylon and snapped the line.

Have no idea what it was, maybe a kingie?
