Painted Lobster & Ornate Lobster

I have a question related to the painted lobster and ornate lobster found in our northern waters. It's common knowledge that these species are generally not caught in pots. But does anyone know why? I have heard it said that they are vegetarians but that is incorrect. I have also heard that their feelers cannot retract and face backwards which makes it difficult for them to enter pots but that appears to be false as well.

I've seen them kept in tanks
I've seen them kept in tanks and fed octopus.
My understanding was the feelers don't fold back the same way the red crays do.
Does anyone know where the love of god goes, when the waves turn the minutes to hours?

Yup, as Dodgy said, my
Yup, as Dodgy said, my understanding is the feelers don't fold back as far so the conventional opening of a cray pot isn't really large enough and so if it was large enough would be far less effective in keeping them in also not really in the numbers as reds are

They can be caught in pots,
They can be caught in pots, 2011 when we had that heat wave quite a few were caught locally. They use different design pots in other parts of the world, I know some were trialled here with some success, though not legal under our current rules they are much larger then the specifications. The most efficient way to get them is to dive.
