Awesome size kg. Bloody fat
Awesome size kg. Bloody fat bugger. They are buggers to hold when you cant get your hand around them. We get some that make a coke can look skinny.
Well done on the haul solo. Im guessing around the 30 mtr mark. Thats where we get most of our big ones

You can get away with using
You can get away with using a quality 4/0 for all your fishing. Remember you can catch big fish with small hooks but not small fish with big hooks. .
Anothey hook you could use is a size 18 circle hook work well from kgs to sharks

Don't forget adout the
Original and first circle mustard hooks. They are dynamite catch anything. And under $20 for 50 hooks. I was amazed what they landed and hook up rate you get on them. Just don't forget when you smell or use single ,always feed line through front of hook eye not from back it seems to make them roll better in fishes mouth. Any eye which isn't off set I do this now. When dan was on pro boat last year . Landed big gropper. Marlin, huge tiger sharks everything that's all they used tiny mustard hooks on handlines. Impossible to straighten. If you happen to miss fish go back around 9 times out of ten they hit again. When fishing kg ground at least you know if a big dhue hits you you will have it covered. Top little square circle.

Cheap deadly
Easy to sharpen. Your correct in what you say . "Can't catch small fish on big hook" but you can catch a big fish on small hook. Size 18 exact same hook :):)

They are cheap enough you
They are cheap enough you can just throw them away after a couple of uses unlike some of the other brands.

Tanawas
When I was driving commercial wetliner we used size 18 tanawas for everything except Goldband and Rubies.
