Peel Inlet

 Morning fellow Fishos!

Has anyone got advise for me in regards to fishing the peel inlet? Im taking the misso and kids down to Mandurah for long weekend and im hoping to try my luck catching something other than a stinky blowie. Im staying in falcon close to the boat ramp on Dampier Ave. We will be land based is it worth flicking some lures around? Any tips please legends would love to see the kids get a few whiting or anything else hanging round.   Cheers legends

Very Shallow

I Know that area well and it is very shallow close to shore... Perhaps might get whiting there but i'd think the water will still be too cold in there. Try heading 5 mins south to the Cut which can fish well for herring and have also caught a fair few king george in there at certain times of the year off the rock walls. Or if you head north 5 minutes to the end of Marina Quay Drive by boundary road brewery, the channel runs in right next to the shore there and can also get herring and chopper tailor there.

Night time gidgee for cobbler and possibly ockys, if there are any rock walls around there. Nighttime dabbing for prawns also an option if the wind is low and no moon light.

I've fished the flats just to

I've fished the flats just to the left at the end of Karanga St a lot and if they aren't hitting surface lures they can hit a vibe or a shallow diver. Not too sure on this time of year but the recent warmer weather can only help.
