Penn Prevail

Hey everyone,
Need a replacement surf rod and looking at picking up a penn prevail 9 or 10 ft (don't want any longer than that) and just after some opinions.. Have read on this forum that it's been great for lures at quobba/steep etc and while I may use it for that, i will be more regularly using it for throwing Mulie rigs off beaches for tailor/mulla's.
"Max" Cast rating on 9 and 10ft seem to be 3oz and 5oz respectively and just wondering how people have found it for chucking decent Mulie/sinker rigs out and if it's done the job. If it's not really suited to it then I'll look for something else as I won't just be doing the lure thing.
cheers!

Prevailing wind?
We have a 9 foot one , its used by my 14 yr daughter , and has caught salmon , on a mulie rig with it , however if its soley
used as a beach rod , I would go for the heavier version in the ten footer, 10-15kg , rather than the lighter one.
She loves the rod , and so do I , its great on baitcasting , even small gardies and sanmars , up at greeenough.
But for you , the bigger versions better, also just wondering why only a 9-10 , I have just got a 3 piece 13 foot rovex , and its
light ( carbon) and really nice to use ,and avoid weed , waves etc , at a reasonble price.
The prevails come in a 12 foot 10-15kg that would kick azz, just a thought., cheers.

Reason for no longer than 10' is mainly as I will be using it off the rocks spinning at some stage and want to be able to cast all day if needed! Cheers for the info!!
