Perth fishing safaris - Still exist?

 Hi all

Does anyone know if Perth Fishing Safaris still exist? Website appears to be removed, phone is disconnected and can't find them on Facebook.

We got my ol man a voucher for his 60th and it's not looking good.

Cheers

Steve

Lots of info on ABNLOOKUP including the business address (a home in Cragie) depending on how keen you are to recover some costs.

probably gone the way of too

Sat, 2023-09-02 20:20

probably gone the way of too many tackle shops/ charters/ recreational fishing related businesses up and down the coast in the last 12 months.

Kinda like this site really, if were being honest. checked in a 4.15am when I was up at stupid oclock for work a few days ago. First time Ive ever seen no member online ever in 13+ years. Very sad really. Not a reflection on the site, just the current and future situation. Was interesting to note 1700+ "guests" online at the same time. Like right now, 8pm on a Saturday at only 9 other members (all stalwarts mind you) and apparently 2688 "guests". My ex used to work for google in advertising, I know how that works. This place must be popular in China and Russia, obviously.

Fishwrecked = WAfishermen in the not to distant future unfortunately and with it a decade of valuable information los. Akin to the bluewaters and TackleHQ. Well done Punchy, hope your the greens and commericals are keeping your pockets lined.

***bracing myself for an Elon X/ Zuckerberg crackbook eqvilent banning when someone says something the gods dont like. Probably deleted from record as well at a guess. Unfortunately no real damage done now, Ill just become one of the "guests" until it joins Atlantis and Action Fun Park and Dizzy lamb park in WAs history books :(

You are nearly right

2 decades, 2005. The site needed to be upgraded about 5 years ago, but the cost to do so just wasn't viable when competing with Facebook. Now its just paying to keep it running at a decent expense each year with no recovery and no chance, unless spamming it with Google ads or online shops. The guests are because of the 10s of thousands of threads that get picked up with Google search engines. The site because its old tech also gets bombarded by Russian hackers, dns attacks and spam bots, which is awesome.

I have decided to keep it going due to that valuable info as a whole. The WA fishing situation is certainly not in a good place and can't see it getting better in the future.

Many thanks Adam. I really appreciate this site. A lot of good info, especially when trying something new like catching a different species or planning a trip, and great attitude of the members.

Thanks Ads for hanging in there and keeping Fishwrecked afloat, its been a battle over many years but you have resisted in folding it up and no doubt all the members and a heap of visitors will love to see it continue. Thanks again.

On Facebook Robbie riches he's very active on there he put a post up 2 or so months before closing on the business page to either get in touch or use the vouchers which seemed like an ass covering so I dare say you may have missed the boat but can only try
