Photo's
G'day Rob
If you want to post a one off image, or a a number of them, you can use the Create Content-Photo link on the LHS navigation link list just below your name at the top left hand side of this page. (See below)
If you will be putting a lot of images up, you might want to ask Adam to set you up a photo album.

Photos - This Should Help!
OK, thanks to Andy's pointers, this is what I did:
1) Open a second browser session (or second tab) and put the following into the addresss field - http://photobucket.com (As Andy (thanks mate) pointed out, this is very easy to use when posting multiple images within a new Forum Topic.
(Explanatory note - what you are (eventually) doing is creating content elsewhere on 'the net' and 'poiting to ' (linking) to your (uploaded) images/s within your Forum Topic)
2)Click on the red Join Now towards the top of the screen:
(Explantory note - go through the registration process - your username will need to be unique.)
3) Once you have created an account, you need to create content. You can do this in 'my album' (clicking on the 'my album' tab to navigate there. Or, you can create seperate sub albums (directories) by entering a name in the new album name field, then mouse clicking on the save button, to the right of that editable field.
(Explanatory note - creating seperate albums allows you to organise photos into sub catagories (directories) - Fish, Boat, Other etc - whatever you feel is right for you)
4) Once you are happy with the structure of your albums (and sub Albums(directories)) it is time to 'upload' your images.
(Explanatory note - you will be transferring (uploading) copies of the image/s hosted on your (local) PC to the (remote) photobucket site - the protocol by which you do this is not important)
5) Now click on the 'Choose Files' button - a seperate dialogue window will appear that you can navigate within to locate your photo.
(Explanatory note: - There are several options by which you upload - but this is the simplest - others can be 'discovered' later)
6)Once you have uploaded your images - it's time to obtain the (HTML) code that you imbed in your text.
(Explantory note: Relax, this is where photobucket is very good - it will do everything for you! :) )
7) Below each imageare four (4) items - 'Email & IM', Direct Link, HTML Code, and, finally, IMG Code - it's the last one you want.
(Explanatory note: Lets not worry about what they all mean, after all, you just want to includes (an) image(s) in your text right.
8) HERE'S THE MAGIC BIT! Place your cursor over the IMG Code and left mouse click (std mouse button config assumed here!) - BINGO - the (HTML) code you need has been copied.
9) WE ARE ALMOST THERE!!! WELL DONE!! - Now, in your text where you want the photo, simply 'paste' what you've copied.
Hope that helped Paul!
Colin
PS - I've had a few wines and just banged this out, there's a lot more you can do, but if I post more my wife will yell at me LOL and I'm tired :)

Good Explanation
Good stuff Colin, that's the way I do it, and once you've done it once it's really easy.
If we can hit that bullseye, the rest of the dominoes will fall like a house of cards. Checkmate.

You're welcome guys - Resizing
Thats what we're here for - to help each other :). Just glad it was helpful.
To resize them ideal for imbedding into your forum topic:
10) Above each photo thumbnail in your album, there's there is five links - move | tag | edit | share | delete.
Click on the | edit | link.
This will take you to a page that allows all sorts of picture adjustments - click on the RESIZE icon. You'll be presented with a number of resizing options.
Click on Reset Sizes: - you'll be presented with a drop down box that sets the size of your image for different situations (Avatar, Thumbnail, Website, etc) - SELECT Message Board (640 x 480 pixels). You'll find your edited pictures now fit nicely into your forum topic post.
(Explanatory note: I edit all my pics when I upload them, including this size, that way, the pic/s are the right size when you link to them using the IMG HTML Tag).
