Now that we have e our boat up in hedland we need to get to know the winds and so forth.
What are the best winds to be fishing out of hedland. All new to us up here so it's going to be hit or miss with the grounds for the fish.
Any help would be great .

Biggest problem with Hedland
Biggest problem with Hedland is as soon as you get outside the harbour you will be smashed by the wind no matter the direction. Really isn't much relief launching from town ramp. Finny has a few more spots to hide.
Lots to explore depending on what you want to catch.
Black Jew will start running soon. I'll probably bring my tinny up and start chasing them after work in the next few weeks.
Does anyone know where the love of god goes, when the waves turn the minutes to hours?

Cheers. From what I have
Cheers. From what I have seen you don't get too much of a swell unless it's been realy blowing. As far as fish goes, happy to get out there and catch anything realy. Wouldn't pass up a Rankin or 2 but happy with anything to sink my teeth into.
The black jew I am assuming you get them closer in

Yep, not much protection,
Yep, not much protection, just need to pick your days or in most cases windows of low wind. It's a real bitch steaming home for hours in a short sharp chop and the wind just always seems to push the spray into the boat lol
