What's goin on with the surface being all smooth and what are they up too, is it a spawning thing or are they feeding?

Its a spawning thing. And the water just smooths out from the movement of the snapper vortex, i dont think its from anything the fish are relwasing. I seen it a couple times in about 5m crystal clear water, a spinning tornado of snapper from surface to bottom. Ones I seen the fish were right on the surface, the fish underwater actually pushing the fish on the surface out of the water.
