Try getting into coral bay etc in our winter.just a money grab.if you have a property in the hills you wont be able to put your mates up in their caravans, garbage
Hey walfootrot is this a wind up or are you fair dinkum, you have to pay to take salt water, I really have trouble accepting that.
You are telling me that if I take 10 litres or so home to cook my crays in I'm breaking the law, if that's so it's time to turn mothers picture to the wall and get of this planet the mad people have control of it.
But I'll bet that they will mount a full scale operation if they get word that some farmer or station owner has allowed a mate to stay on his property for a week or two in a caravan and hasn't filled in all they relevant paper work, oh buy the way didn't the government say they where going to make it easier for those wanting to stay in their vans but not in major caravan parks.
Now lets see, you need to make an application to the shire for permission for some one to put a van on your property that's step 1
set 2 you need to arrange for the shire to come out and survey the proposed site.
Set 3 you need to put together an emergency plan so that if there is a fire or flood every one will know what to do.
Sep 4 the fire/flood plan needs to be approved by the shire and exercised once a year.
step 5 there needs to be adequate toilet and shower/ablution block that has been approved by the shire engineer.
Now, aren't we all happy that the state government has done just like it promised, it has made camping and staying in the bush so much more enjoyable for all and cut down on the red tape.
There you are possums have a lovely Christmas break. (yeah right)
And dont forget the JHA, take 5 and hot work permit before you set up, and crank up the BBQ, The clowns that push this dribble properly never have and never will, enjoy the country that has so much to offer.
I can see it now thousands of people rushing to put together a management plan with health, safety and environmental impacts and getting a surveyor in just so Granny and Grandpa can park their caravan in the backyard while their visiting. It's so ridiculous that they don't expect anyone to actually do it.
Besides which these laws only apply to people who try to do the right thing. It wouldn't have any affect on the people who cause problems.
I'm guessing they want to make the laws overly broad and difficult so that if there are any complaints from neighbours the council can just start fining people and moving them on without having to use any common sense.
that their is going to be a 30bay free camping between Leeman and Dongara. So how does that work? Free camping by the Shire. Tiolets, laundry or shower don't know if their.

Been on the cards now for a while, staying in a caravan park can't be compared to camping though.
Unfortunately it's probably going to be a thing of the past, like everything a minority of pricks out there are stuffing it up for everyone else
