Plans for wednesday

Wednesday looks like it will be a good for fishing, so who's heading out and what are your plans?

We are hopefully chasing dhuies up at tworocks/yanchep.

Merry Christmas and Tight Lines

Cheers

Deep

Mon, 2007-12-24 19:51

At this stage it looks like we will be heading deep hunting Grey Band Cod. Heading out to a well head out in the 200m+ area then heading to a 40m high ridge that drops from 210 to 250m almost vertical.

Might also check the fads or try for dhuies on the way in depending on how the day goes.

Anyone else wants to tag along let me know.

Jigging

Thu, 2007-12-27 12:04

With a CROWD , even when we stopped for lunch the seagulls followed us away from the fish to see what we were doing , funny as $HIT watching people jig on bare sand just because we were there

We wandered off to some other spots and left the rent a crowd behind and managed some H O R S E fish from some secret spots , 5 people hooked up to 5 fish all 1500 mm or bigger , that kept us busy , after only 6 drifts everyone was buggered .

Was a day to be on the water thats for sure , one guy out there was jigging with an Alvey winch , goes to say he didn't catch anything .( I wish we had a shaking head smily as I would be using about 100 of them right now)

Few boats out

Thu, 2007-12-27 12:09

Yeah there was a few boats out there Mav.

Good to break in the new boat on a few sambos. You certainly had a good crowd following you when you changed spots.

Good to see the tub out there

Thu, 2007-12-27 13:17

Was good to see ya john , your old man didn't look too enthusiastic about Sambo jigging once mr lilly realized who it was on board he didn't stop telling stories ( I thought he was going to swim over for a propper chat whith your old man ). I took some pics of your tub and will send them to you this week sometime so check your emails

We had one guy tell us I know what I'm doing , then follow us around all day , looks like what he knows to do is follow the boat with all the people hooked up , didn't see him and his crew hooked up much tho , and then there was the idiots that wanted to weigh fish on spring scales then go on to body slam them overboard , we even managed to grab a floater that still had a jig in it's gob , so we tied it onto a rig and managed another 10 fish with it ,well done to the little white alli job that just drove off leaving that floater behind HFS.

Economy

Was very happy with the new motor, especially when we pulled up to the bowser after we got home. 66 nautical miles for 62 litres of fuel.

Dad was more than happy driving, sounding and taking pics. He broke in my new twinpower 8000pg on a nice sambo though.
