Accurate or Van Staal

We are going to buy either an Accurate twinspin or a Van staal, cant find anything that really seperates one from the other in performance so what are thoughts on each?
Reel will be used for jigging sambos and pelagics up north.

At this stage we are leaning towards Van staal as they are cheaper.

the way the line fed on to

the way the line fed on to the spool for a start and for what is meant to be a smooth reel compared to others was not I will admit they are built like a sherman tank, mine was given as a gift and after useing 4 times ended up giving it to a mate to use who lost it overboard and he replaced it with a new dogfight which I prefer.I have been thinking of getting a accurate twinspin going to have a play with one when in HK shortly

I had a Twinspin 30 for

I had a Twinspin 30 for testing.
Built like a tractor and runs like one to, so sluggish to turn the handle the heavy gearing made me think the 6500Exp must have come from another planet.
Very basic, but strong spool design, and the precise, graduated drag setting was a excellent.
Typical US made reel, VERY strong and appears well assembled and constructed.

On another forum the internal design has been suggested to be a Saltiga copy.

To me it is not a jigging reel by design, more a pitch bait/sailfish reel with a spool suited to mono rather than PE.

Just my opinion, 'you pays the money and makes your choice'.

Used both

I would go the Van Stall , recon the drag needs atttention on the twinspin to work properly , all the reels I have seen have start up inertia problems when using heavy drags .

I wonder why a top jigging boat has 14 Van Stalls on board ???

Product placement?

Or demo testing?

JK Mav. If something can stand the wide range of fish/punters that pull on the things and not just survive but thrive then it must be a pretty good product.
