I am headed out in the early morning for land based effort at my usual spot. Hoping for some good action but will settle for the nice weather and my dog getting some much needed exercise. I'll let you al know how I go :)

Fishing?
Fishing is out for the weekend, fixing the gen set and main engine on a yacht.Like most yachts the boat was built around the engines.Gen set is in a pigeon hole in a cabin half the size of a toilet cubicle, had to pull whole thing out to replace alternator and repair starter motor.Main has a blown head gasket--its situated underneath the gas stove and only accessable on the other side through a 2 1/2foot gap.Lots of skin off and heaps of choice words but I'm getting there.
Sunday arvo its radio watch with Sea Rescue. The forecast doesn't look too crash hot so it might be a quiet day.fingers x'ed
Hope all those who get out have a good one

Totally understand your pain carnarvonite.....
Thought it might be a good career choice about 6 years ago to work as a boat mechanic (what an idilic way to spend the day, working on luxury boats and yachts were my thoughts at the time), spent my first week working on yacht engines, didnt manage to turn up to work for a second week! haha.
Oil rigs are much better, big machinery in big open spaces and no tight arse owners whinging about everything costing them too much money, I told one guy who was crying about the repair quote I really didnt want the job and would much prefer he do his yacht himself, after about 2 hours of him taking skin off his whole body attempting it he rang me back asking could I please go ahead as quoted!
Goooooone Fishin!

Home Work
YET AGAIN, the boating weather is cr@p down here for the weekend, so it's work around the house.
Got called into work yeserday (4.45am rise
) anyway - home just after lunch time.
Today it's, woohoo, wait for it, sanding and re-oiling the wife's cutting boards (life just doesn't get more exciting that that I tell ya).
next weekend...Next weekend....NEXT WEEKEND.....NEXT WEEKEND!

Monday
Monday is the day, good forecast, lots of bait, lots of fuel, lots of ice,all ready and raring to go.
Had a "forgot sign off" at Sea rescue this arvo, went round to his address to find the boat there after an hour of finding who and where he lives etc,but all good.
As for tomorrow morning must not forget the areogard---with the easterly winds have brought the flies in a BIG way, even boats over the islands[30nm out]have reported millions of the buggers.Guess that means we will have to skoll our drinks before they get to drink it for us
Hopefully a report and some pics shortly
