Plenty of Mullet tonight

Haven't done any netting for quite a while, but been hearing good reports. So thought I'd give it a go tonight. Finished work at 5 and straight down to Port Bouvard marina and down the Harvey inlet before dark had the net in. The Mullet started hitting the net before it was even completely set. First run produced 11, second 10 & last run finished off my bag of 30. I was back at the ramp not long after 7pm.
Plenty of cheap top quality bait for our trip to Shark Bay, and for bottom bouncing for a while. Top night. Cheers

Hey Kirky....
...do you get many whiting doing that? I've had some really good lure casting sessions for them over the summer but there were one or two Thursdays in there where it seemed a bit quiet...just wondering if the netters have been getting a few the night before, or is it just me not catching!

Alwaysfishn, just a set net
Alwaysfishn, just a set net mate.
Auslobster, like I said, I haven't done it for a while. But we used to get a couple occasionally more so in the warmer months. Wouldn't think it would be enough to slow the bite. You never know though.

I have tried it and it was ok. But when I still have Dhu in the freezer it won't get a look in. Haha. My brother in law eats it a fair bit though and enjoys it, just in a real light beer batter. I've also heard it is good pickled, but I've never tried that.

Mullet
There are only two things for mullet, smoked or bait.
They are excellent smoked and a brilliant bait
