hey mate from what I've heard ya can get your normal bread and butter species (herring, whiting etc) squid too and you can also pull up the salmon when they are runnin through.  All depends where you go from the little beach bit I've seen shark fins cruising through at times and see some people hooked up with rays.  Either way you'll wanna get a lift down there or leave nothing of value in ya car and windows down, fair few break ins at the car parks I've heard.  Good luck mate and if ya ever want someone to fish with let us know I'm always keen.

Nah mate, but if ya can get em from palm beach then you should have a chance of em from point peron. The best way to find out though is to give it a crack, I haven't fished too much from there.
