polarising filter

OK, the parents splashed out (with a small donation fom me) and got me a Canon G11 for xmas and I have since order an adapter tube (58mm) for it.

I was looking at filters (Hoya) but there are like 3 different types of 58mm circular polarising lenses to choose from!?! Which one? Or another brand?

I got these 4 filters for around $55 aus.

If you get them, remember to change from 72mm.

I bought a hoya polarising for $90 before leaving Aus and I can't really tell the difference between the one in the 4 pack and the exxy one.  Sure there probably is a diff, but hard to pick...

Thu, 2009-12-31 14:05

for mine and took a few pics the other day in the pool.Fantastic clarity for a little camera. Will still take the 40d or 5d with me in the pelican case when i go out in the boat. With the G11 in the waterproof housing they will only came out for whales or for great fish other than that i think they will be rarely used anymore.LaughingThey take good video as well.I got two 16 sd cards and they say it will take about 1000 shots plus per card in raw. All i need now is a couple of spare batts and i am all set for the exxy to mackies and return trip.Cant wait.
