But I'll start it off anyway, I don't know of the monster mesh but I'll have to look into it now, and I haven't checked out the GT special But I do like the T-curves for a reasonable priced rod. I have a T-curve Blue water spin in 10-15kg (I thought the 15-24 was to stiff for casting) Cause I like a lighter softer rod for play, But I bought it for throwing bigger poppers and spinners for up north when I was working on an offshore island, ( the pity of working on an offshore oil and gas facility on an island- Gee I miss having nothing to do but fish after work on an island north on Mackeral island) I've got mine suited upto a 14000 Speros with 30lb Fireline( yeah i don't like fireline much either but it's not as light as braid for casting so less knots. And I have also been using it to great effect for sambo's too, I like the flex and play, but I have just organised a 200 jig T-curve now to use aswell.

Thats my input even though its not exactly the rod your looking at Sorry but from what I've seen and others using them, we and they are all happy.

Usually looking for others to come aboard for fishing and diving!!

go the GT special

I also havent seen the longer Monster Mesh rods personally but we just received our Shimano order and got the T-curve GT special out. It's a unique rod, nothing like the other T-Curve rods. 8ft long, rated to 80lb braid and cast large (upto 200gm) poppers very well. Black matt finish with that new fossil wood reel seat.

Performance wise I havent heard much locally but a couple of guys I know have used them over in Qld and are quite surprised how powerful it is. It loads up well and quite under-rated for its max drag capacity (12kg). Very user friendly rod. If you're chasing GTs I wouldnt skimp out on the gear, I would save up for it.

I've used the Shimano GT

I've used the Shimano GT special and it's a very nice rod.  Casts well, heaps of power (probably minimum PE8) and comes with all the good gear (Fuji SIC guides ).
Loads up well with a fish on the end too

I've ordered both in and the Shimano has arrived as mentioned but we're still waiting on the Monster mesh like most all tackle stores. From what i've seen the GT special is the go (impressed) but like most things it's a personal reference also!

I am not going to skimp on

I am not going to skimp on money with this compo i am trying to set up, so that is why i want to get it right the first time and not waste money swaping rods around. I have looked at the saltiga's but they are pretty heavily priced and i heard the monster mesh is almost as good but a lot less in price

 I dont know either rods

I dont know either rods but was really impressed with the Monster Mesh jig rod (MM582XHB-SIC) when looking for real value for money.  If the same quality  translates into the popper rods the MM has the benefit of the Saltiga rods behind it.
I have four T-curves but could not go past the MM.
