Prepare Nor-westers - Another cyclone brewing
Submitted by Adam Gallash on Tue, 2009-02-03 10:29
Hey Crew,
Been watching the charts for a while as cyclone Dominic came out of the blue and caught a few of us unprepared. I predicted this one a few days ago and looks like BoM are starting to confirm it. Might pay to start stocking up and getting ready!!
Cheers,
Adam

Yeah heard the news at work
Yeah heard the news at work yesterday, good thing I will be on days off and shouldn't have to tie-down.
Bit of a bummer, just when we're starting to recover from Dominic it looks like aother one will stuff up the fishing for a while.

In Hedland
I am up in Hedland for a couple of days for client meetings but I am heading back to Perth on Wednesday arvo so I should miss the worst of it. We might try and get a fish in this arvo if lucky. Hopefully a successfull report to come!

Yep
She's changed direction from this morning, looked like it was coming straight over Onslow/Exxy. Really hoping your right BJ.

Domonic
Still getting over Dominic, was in the caravan park in Carnarvon that got flooded.Moved back in yesterday after shovelling mud and shit from the annex, hosing the slop away, etc
We were one of the lucky ones, having a bus it only came up to the first step so nothing inside suffered.Others had vans with 2 feet of water in them, losing nearly everything. All we look like losing is the generator. The chest freezer and mini fridge started ok after a bit of a squirt and a couple of days sun to dry them out.
Now everyone in the park knows where a 6.8metre river comes up to,so if we get a forecast of a 5 metre plus river is coming I'm starting the bus and out of there.
