Press stud maintenance

Just had some clears fitted to the sides of the existing bimini . They are zipped on at the top, but with the dreaded press studs along the bottom edge. In my experience, these go to *hit very quickly in a marine environment if left alone. What are peoples' opinions on the best way to keep them working? Silicon spray, silicon grease, saw vaseline touted once?

I used to use the silicone
I used to use the silicone protectorant suitable for the clear plastic, and do both parts of the press studs in the process. Seemed to work fine but still no fun on a cold morning if you had to put them together and stretch the fabric
Those days are gladly behind me

Vaseline
is what I've used previously. Small amounts every few trips over the studs and zips. As above any decent marine silicone protectant will do

Super lube
Fully synthetic .( looks like vasso). Resists temp salt the lot. Brilliant for any marine application . Vaso tends to go off.
