Prop Help?

 Hi All,

Trying to work out if this is the correct prop on this second hand yammy 55BETL/9, &/or what you'd recommend?

Wondering if perhaps the/a previous owner has just thrown whatever on it, seems small, alot of space above it?

No gauges so don't know about rpm's etc, guess ~5k, it's on a 4.5mtr fg runabout, ~700kg

Target for economy is when pulling the young men (kids) on a wakeboard, skies etc (yes 55 is small but does the job for now)

I've checked out a few websites but I don't understand it, aparently the engine was originally sold in 99, but I can't find any for that year, perhaps its a 95 model?

It's 13 spline, approx 260mmm full diameter, 78mm inner hub

Thanks for any help.

Currently got this Solas

LOTs of space above the prop??

Pitch

3 blades, 11.1 inch diameter and a 13 inch pitch, The pitch is the amount of distance the prop travel with each revolution.

prop selection is based on

prop selection is based on RPM, so without a tacho you are only speculating. At WOT the outboard should be in the top 500 rpm of max. I.e if 6000rpm max the motor should be between 5500 and 6000 rpm at wide open throttle. If you want to check if it's the right prop you will need a tacho. Could possibly get one of those mini max tachos which wrap around a spark plug lead

I'm fine with "speculating"

For a 55 I'm thinking there won't be much variance compared to being more fussy with 100+?

More curious if the total diameter is right as it looks small on there, like its off a smaller donk, lower thrust etc?

This is a prop off a suzi (can't remember what hp but bigger), ob dosn't fit the spline but diameter looks a lot meatier, more thrust?
