quad fishing.

As requested , its a kymco mxu 400 selectible 4wd/2wd and hi/lo range

set up for beach fishing with 4 aluminium rod racks on rear, front mounted tackle box

canvas seat cover, whip flag, clip on gps ( a garmin etrex)

and we always carry a can of instant puncture repair and a small snatch strap and shackles

as well as some basic tools and a water bottle. We also carry a handheld uhf in a pouch

No pictures as it's still building in my head but I have a few ideas to work from. It's a bit like the old fart who takes his custome built golf cart to have a round LOL.

pm if u would like any info

kymco are not chinese, kymco are a parent company so to speak, they make alot of parts for bmw cars, also make the racing motors for ktm, and the make the kawaski 50 and 90 quad bikes!

kymco has only been in australia for about 7 years now so very new to the aussie market but they are starting to stand out from the rest,

Very happy kymco owner!

I bought mine at a auction , from a bike shop that had liquidated, in 2008

in Perth. It was hard to find local info on them , as I did my research on them before the auction.( like a good fisherman should)

However through the magic of this new fangled internet thingy, and by searching U.S and U.K. sites

I was certain that this was a quality bike.( they retailed about 8k at the time) not telling what I paid , dont wont the hate mail

but it was cheap.( no warranty of course)

1000 hrs later ( just about all beach work!) this is a good thing. Not a speck of trouble, if you dont include one loose wire

on the ignition once. Drop the oil and filter once a year ( more sometimes) if you dont use it too much.

Change the brake fluid every 2years, and I just bought a replacment trans belt for it on ebay for 50 bucks or so.( replace every 4years)

It has towed a small trailer with gear in it , in low range on the beach, not a problem.

Before these you could buy a 12k-14k honda or yammy or a 3k chinese , its great to have a middle choice.

They usually have a stand at the royal show , so check them out.

not affilated with any kymco people, dont even know were to get spares ( you can easy, see above) cause havent needed them.
