Quick Exmouth trip

Drove 16 hours up to Exmouth for two days fishing with a mate in a tinny. Was worth the trip, a lot of fun.

That catch is certainly worth the trip, great going guys, and from a tinnie no less. No need for the floating gin palace to get amongst some very good fish. Now days a drive to Exy would take me a couple of days to get over never mind going fishing the next day.

Several places you can access quality fishing in a tinny

We fished Exmouth just south of the lighthouse (Halby Bank) for years during the 70's in a savage snipe with a 15 on the back.  Catches like those shown were commonplace indeed the NW Snapper were much larger, we also hooked both sails and a small Marlin all on drifted mulies or used light sinkers to fish in depths over 100 metres.  Just pick your weather and swell and pick a good beach to launch from.

Thanks for the photos as it brought back many many memories
