Rare catch . A first for me

Had most of the day off and what's better than sitting down t he beach with a line in the water.
Lost a metre plus Queenie with the hook breaking just 10 feet from the beach. Landed a couple of the usual critters and a nice golden trev . Just as I was starting to pack up one of my lines started to peel off slowly but not a fight I have ever felt before. Was thinking it might be a ray of some sort but no, it was a turtle that had wrapped the line around it's flipper. Untangled it and a quick pic with a safe release

Hooked a big one on a Laser
Hooked a big one on a Laser Pro in the Mackerel Islands years ago Russ. Once we realised what it was we gently drove back up the line and around the other side of it. Once we got the right angle the lure came free thankfully.
