Raymarine Element 9 HV

Hello Raymarine Folk
I'm in the market for a new combo (9") to replace on old Elite 5 and looking to spend ~1.5k.
One of the options I keep coming back to is the Element 9 HV. They seem (on paper at least) to be reasonable units for the price.
I understand they arent touch screen which I don't mind and don't network which I also don't need.
Is there anyone using or used an Elements and like to comment or is everyone using Axioms?
BTW, mostly fish metro and wouldn't get into more than 100m of water even on a good day.
Thanks in advance

Have you thought of Simrad?.
A Simrad GO9 XSE will tick all the boxes ( touchscreen and networkable ) and give you some change for fuel with the amount of loot you want to spend. CH Smith are selling them for $1399 at the moment with a map and transducer. I'm a little biased, I've got Simrad gear in both my boats. Dead simple to drive em too, if I can use em then anyone can!. There's a good vid on YouTube with Eddy Lawler from Peak Sportfishing going through his Simrad gear for his Blackwatch 36.

Save a little longer and whack one of these lil puppies on, it will pay for itself in fillets pretty quickly..... If you're fishing shallower waters you'll be quite surprised how good the smaller supplied transducers are.
