Raymarine Lost Waypoints

I decided that it was time to update the software on my C127 Combo unit. As a part of this I thought it best to finally back up all of my waypoints, about 300 of them in all. I followed the instructions to the letter and then proceeded to reinstall/import the waypoint files. After i had completed the reisntall/import I went htorugh to look at the new software. It was then that I noticed that the only waypoints that had transferred were ones that were Alpha Numeric that I had actually named rather then the ones when you just press mark way point. I have tried to research just how to find the waypoints on the SD Card and in the system but it has been to no avail. I have in the past lost ten years worth of spots and have spent hours, days weeks, months and years rebuilding, I would be distraught to say the least if I was to suffer this ill feit again. Could someone please help me.

Did you have a seperet sd card or save them to your navionics card? This can give you problems.

Also did you hit save all way points? And import all files? I had a few problems with my C120 years ago. If you talk to Pete at maritime electronics in Fremantle he will be your best bet mate! He's got stuff back before for me.

In in the end you can never accidentley delete way points written down in a book!

Pete was my next option, really wanted to try all other avenues before I became a problem of his. I did do everything by the book as you have described above hence the reason I am a little annoyed. Thanks for your feedback it is appreciated mate.

When I bought my Raymarine A50D from Maritime Electronics in Freo, I was led to believe it would be simple to read and understand - big, big, big mistake

When I drove up to Freo, from Busso, for some user information they had a 'notice' on the front door explaining that 'tuition' was available and given @ $70 per hour

So I had no joy there at all - but that was some years ago now - hope things have changed
