Reef runners

Hi guys. Was checking out a few boats st the show. Really liked the bar rushers. I know some people aren’t keen but seemed to appeal to me. However also really liked the Caribbean reef runners, and made me reconsider whether to go fibreglass. Will be arranging rides in both. Just wondering if could get personal opinions from reef runner owners on what you feel is great about them, and any shortcomings? Prob about same price range once all fitted. May come down to what I can tow in the end...

You are welcome to crawl over mine at a suitable time... Freo area

they also seem to sell when they are 10 years old for 90% of what they cost new. Solid boating investment if you ask me

If your looking for a nice comfy ride then it’s a no brainer . I’ve never felt like I’m an inch shorter after taking a ride on a glass boat.... :)

awesome boat

As good if not better ride than any boat I've been in over the years, very dry ride even in ordinary conditions, I never even have the side clears on mine. Very stable at rest, can fish 3 blokes one side easily if you want.  Mine's a 90s model and still looks the goods, they haven't changed much in that time and there's a good reason for that.  The only issue I have with it is getting the time to actually get it in the water as much as it should be!

The refresh was done early 90's IIRC.

The only real changes with them since them have been a regularly expanding dash, to fit modern electrics. It's been changed about 4( ?) times, last refresh was about 2014, I think. Trim colours changed, they dropped the wood trim around the cabin door, minor stuff like that. Oh, and the fuel tank got a bit bigger.  I'm not sure when they went all hardtop, but the Extended Hardtop only became available ex-factory just before I bought mine-they were a bit low for tall blokes at the front, no issues with the extended hardtop.
