What are you using it for?

What are you using it for?  If you are popping get the Dogfight. Ratio took high to fish deep or with heavy weights.

Nearly all else, I would take the Stella, take it you are talking the 20k.  Good all rounder.

stella 10000 for popping, 20000 for jig/troll

Fri, 2008-02-08 16:32

No real reason, just $$$$ at the moment. i couldn't break either of them so you may as well spend the extra $$$$ on good braid for the stella and still have change for a bling handle

yeah upg that would be right, but he didn't mention Stella 20k, in which case the better comparison would be Dogfight vs Stella 10000FA.

I've never seen a better response to the question & this is coming from guys who use both reels on some of the toughest fish in the world on a day-to-day basis. Take a look at the first question on the page.

Personally I like my dogfight and expedition over my 10,000 stella they get more use as I am more of a saltiga fan than a high end shimano person both reels are built well but I like the finer touch's on the saltiga's

Brenz....borrow Jarrods saltiga and Josh's Stella, use them for a month and make your decision from there. Should be easy enough...hehe
