Replacement esky

my Coleman hinges bit the dust, yes you can get replacements BUT Coleman only use mild steel screws so impossible even with an easy out to remove them, the plastic simply heats and melts....there used to be a member that sold fibreglass insulated coolers on here....is he still around ? .

I've got one from Techni-Ice, the quality is way better than expected  (it's actually laughable when compared with the a BCF offering of the same cost)

Cannot recommend them enough

I got a 'seconds' unit from him a few years back. Sits on the back of my boat as a seat, in the sun all the time and still holding up fine.

I didn't think he did them any more though? Hopefully I am wrong.

Another option

Thu, 2016-10-27 07:17

If you're just going to use it to put fish in...

Try the madfish cooler bags - I just got one and think it's bloody brilliant. Ability to carry it by myself and less bulk on my boat are great advantages and they are quite well priced.

 Hi gents

I do not do the coolers anymore as supply simply got too technical and supply the cryovacs through oceanside mostly. Thanks for the mention Andy.

For what it is worth.

A mate of mine here in the Kimberleys uses the 70 litre techni ice and i have to agree, they are a very good and robust esky.

75mm walls tells you they have taken out all stops to keep ice longer. Plenty out there, finding one the right size and budget is your next choice. I got an 85 L tropical ice box site unseen and forever regreted that decision. Too tall for the back of a ute and the lid would fall down and clock you on the head when trying to get something out.

I've got a 150L 'Outermark'

Fri, 2016-10-28 10:02

I've got a 150L 'Outermark' branded cooler from Bunnings. It's one of the cheaper coolers out there, but I've had it about 3 years now and it's held up well. We took it on a 3 day trip to the Abrolhos and still had ice left over at the end.

You can also sit 2 people on it comfortably.
