I use the Rapala knot for
I use the Rapala knot for lures, but perfection loop looks like it does the same thing.

But you also see a lot of people just tieing lures straight on (and catching fish) without a loop

Perfection loop
I use one now but as Sherbert says you still catch em anyway. I just like the action more on the richter it seems to Bloop better.

Richter
I Bimini then Albright knot a piece of leader usually 60 or 80lb and about 500mm long then use a swivel clip and clip on the lure For all my poppers and stick baits
You need to have a swivel somewhere or you will get too much line twist which results in wind knots. If you don't want to use a lure clip then put a swivel where you join your braid to mono, assuming you are using braid, if not then mono to mono leader.
If your wondering why I use a heavy leader wait until a jumbo tailor eats your whole richter doesn't happen often but anything under 60lb they will snip through quickly, I don't use wire trace

I'm with you Rig.
Very short leader and a clip swivel. Keep it simple but no knots going through the guides. I have lost a few doing that and also ripped the top guide off the rod. Another tip, use a fast retrieve reel. Mine is an Okuma 6:1 and it makes the poppers dance. The faster the retrieve the more spectacular the hits. Nothing better than seeing a decent Tailor air-bound at the strike.

but if your going for slamon
but if your going for slamon get rid of the treble and use a good single hook .. either that or buy some stronger trebles ... used the richters last salmon season and lost every fish with straightened hooks .. chap next to me had exactly the same thing happen .. single hook and hey presto not a problem

Yep can confirm, hooks are
Yep can confirm, hooks are shite for salmon, put new hooks on asap, I dont bother with swivels, never had a problem with wind nots or line twist
Fishing and catching are two different things. But i want to learn how to catch.
